The Chameleon is the one-word bluffing game. A grid of words appears on screen and a secret word is chosen — everyone sees which one it is, except the chameleon.
Players each give a single word clue to prove they know the secret word without making it too obvious. The chameleon must bluff convincingly and then guess the word if caught.
How to play The Chameleon
- 1Join a room with 3 or more friends.
- 2A 4×4 grid of words appears. Everyone sees the secret word highlighted — except the chameleon.
- 3Going around the table, each player says one word as a clue relating to the secret word.
- 4Players then vote on who they think the chameleon is.
- 5If the chameleon is caught, they get one final chance to guess the secret word and steal the win.
The Chameleon FAQ
What makes The Chameleon different from Spyfall?+
In Spyfall the spy knows nothing; in The Chameleon the spy must bluff using the visible grid of related words, making the clue-giving phase the centrepiece.
Can the chameleon win even after being caught?+
Yes — if the chameleon correctly guesses the secret word after being voted out, they escape and win the round.
