Who it is for
2 player games online with friends
When it is just the two of you and one of you is competitive.
Two players is a different game design problem: no hiding in a crowd, no waiting your turn behind six other people, and every mistake is visible.
These all work properly head-to-head rather than tolerating it. Several run winner-stays-on too, so they scale straight up if a third person wanders in.
